Weddings At Palmetto

“Marriage is a gift God has given to all humankind for the well-being of the entire human family. Marriage is a civil contract between a woman and a man. For Christians marriage is a covenant through which a man and a woman are called to live out together before God their lives of discipleship. In a service of Christian marriage a life long commitment is made by a woman and a man to each other, publicly witnessed and acknowledged by the community of faith.”
The Pastor of the Palmetto Presbyterian Church will officiate at all weddings here. Other clergy may assist only at the Pastor’s invitation. The organists, selected by the pastor, will play for all weddings here.

The SESSION asks that you make the following contributions:

Use of Sanctuary: $1000.00
Minister (consultations, etc;): $200.00
Organist and Soloist: $150.00
Custodian: $100.00

A basic deposit of $300.00 is required to hold the wedding date on our calendar.
The remaining contributions are due one month before the scheduled wedding date.
In case you cancel your wedding plans here, one month notice prior to your wedding date is required in order for your basic deposit to be refunded.

Other guidelines set by the SESSION:
1) Any seasonal decorations as at Christmas, Easter, etc. placed there by the church must not be disturbed.
2) Arrangements for delivery of flowers or other decorative materials and for their placement must be made with the Pastor and/or Church Secretary in advance of the wedding day.
3) Rooms for dressing are not available.
4) Pictures of the processional and recessional by ONE photographer only are permitted.
5) Throwing of rice, birdseed or confetti is not permitted.
6) Receptions following a wedding are not permitted at the church facilities.

The Pastor and our church are pleased to offer our facilities for your wedding. The Pastor and the church staff will help you make it special. We are convinced that marriage is one of the most wonderful things that God invented. We wish you God’s blessings and the best of everything else as you seek an appropriate setting for the beginning of your married life.
